I have always loved cameras from an early age to the present I've taken pictures. I feel lucky to have have started long ago with film and darkroom processing. It instilled in me a meticulous nature and attention to detail, only 24 shots a roll and many hours of processing to make them right, will do that to you.
Digital work is very quick and versatile, endless options, with many adjustments to be made, but nothing will ever compare to the Darkroom and hand processing prints, exposing paper in the enlarger and bathing it to just the right point of development and transferring to the stop bath...I can still smell it, oh how I loved the process.
I still try to recreate that love of the process, it just takes me down different paths now. The tools may have changed but creating the best images I can is still a passion.
My formal training comes from studying at the California College of Art. After graduation I worked as an illustrator for a national clothing company. My job evolved over the years from drawing, to design and then on to video. Throughout the changes however, the one art form that was constant was photography. "I am continually exploring my expression of the body through many mediums; I paint, write, sculpt and shoot this subject however I've never really felt the need to show much of my work until recently, so much of my work has been just for myself"
I hope you enjoy this little bit of myself
